Are you a Master’s Student hoping to transfer to a PhD?

The PuRPOSE project is an Erasmus+ funded European project with partners The Technological University of The Shannon: Midlands Midwest,  Ireland, The University of Montpellier and Réseau Entreprendre, France, and the University of Siegen, Germany. The project aims to support students’ progress from a master’s in any area of business or any area of entrepreneurship to a PhD. 

The partners are hosting a set of three 1 x hour Lunch & Learn Workshops (Zoom). These also offer you an opportunity to network and meet other students and staff from across Ireland, France and Germany.

Session 1

Gain Insights – Get Feedback

Date: 30th March 2022 Time: 12:30 to 13:30 GMT+1

Masters students have an opportunity to present their research idea (3 minutes) and get feedback from a group of experienced supervisors. Registration is essential for time allocation. Open discussion and Breakout Rooms

Session 2

Meet with Entrepreneur Renan Ayrault

Date: 4th April 2022 Time: 12:30 to 13:30 GMT+1

Renan is an experienced Entrepreneur and current President of Réseau Entreprendre based in Essomme in Paris. Réseau Entreprendre are Frances’ largest organisation supporting entrepreneurs with job creation potential. He is a highly experienced business leader with strong marketing and sales experience in the used books, mobile phone, e-commerce and internet services industry across the US and France. Renan has a deep understanding of how research can support the business community. We look forward to him sharing insights on the day.

Session 3

Surviving a PhD

Date: 5th April 2022 Time: 12:30 to 13:30 GMT+1

Doing a PhD is hugely challenging. This workshop helps students to gain insights into doing a PhD and an opportunity to discuss the challenges as they see them. This session is supported by a team of current PhD students, alumni and staff from across the PuRPOSE Eramsus+ partnership.
