The PuRPOSE partners will be hosting a training week on research in management for MA students.
Based on the results of the preliminary study and the survey of good practices for research attractiveness in Higher Education Institutions, a training plan has been developed by the PuRPOSE partners, targeting selected MA students in management who already have an interest in research activities and are considering PhD as a potential career opportunity.
The training week will be hosted in June 2021 in Siegen, Germany. The programme will consist in lectures, working sessions and discussions to inform them on the specificities of research work in the field of management and to support them in the development of a personal research project. This international event will also be the occasion for the students of the three partner universities to learn more about PhD and discuss and compare the different approaches in the context of France, Germany and Ireland.
Finally, a junior research seminar, held at the end of the training week, will be the concluding step of the pilot training programme held at the University of Montpellier. The participants from Montpellier will present to their peers the research project they developed during the academic year in conditions resembling those of an international research symposium, to give them a taste of the job of a researcher.
