At the University of Montpellier, a group of Master students have been selected as part of a pilot training programme for the academic year 2020-2021.

In the framework of the project, a pilot training programme has been developed and will be implemented at the University of Montpellier with Master’s students in management. The objectives of this training programme will be to accompany the selected students on research projects connected to their personal research interests, the topic of their mandatory internship in a company in the second half of the academic year, as well as topics of interest for the private sector, which emerged from a survey to the network of entrepreneurs of Réseau Entreprendre.

The students will be mentored by experienced researchers and lecturers of the University, and will be supported in the identification of their research topic and initial literature review. At the end of the academic year, these students will take part to an advanced training week organised by the University of Siegen, and they will present their research project during a “junior research seminar” to simulate real-life conditions of the work of PhD students and researchers.

Hence this programme aims to provide the students with a first hands-on experience of research and to foster interest in doing a PhD. This pilot programme will be assessed by the University of Montpellier, and then implemented in the partner universities.
