After the summer break, the PuRPOSE partners are ready to launch the second phase of their study.
The second phase focuses on the main target group of the project: Master’s students in the field of management. A questionnaire was designed to survey the representations of the students regarding PhD and research in management, with questions addressing their perceptions of what a PhD is and the required skills, as well as their motivation to engage in research activities.
The questionnaire will be shared with the Master’s students of the three partner universities and provide an overview of their representations and their expectations towards PhD. The extracted data will be put in perspective with regards to the first phase of the study, which interviewed current PhD students and thesis supervisors, and a detailed quantitative analysis will be presented in a report providing orientations for the upcoming activities in the framework of the project, ie the PuRPOSE training programme and information website.
